Sam and Phillip went to see 25 baby owls at Debra Burnett's place today (one less than a day old); farmers and truckers bring Debra the owl eggs and babies when they find nests in hay they are transporting.
Sam and his deacons quorum at church are going to do a service project to make nesting boxes for the owls to use when they are older. The owls will be relocated to area farms.
Love this photo Sam took during his visit! Oh, and they met Debra's older barred owl Shakespeare as well. Fun brother bonding!
These owls are adorable - I have never seen a baby owl before!
